An afternoon by the Aare....

Updated: Jun 4, 2020

I made a beautiful picnic blanket a few days ago and Martin and I decided to put it to test. I would've loved to lay it on the grass as the underside is lined with a shower curtain I bought from Ikea and it wouldn't soak up any of the wetness from the grass. But Martin had other ideas and we ended up laying the blanket...actually two of them on to the pebbled surface just by the river. So it was stress-tested as a friend would say. And two hours later, all was still perfect. Not a scratch, nor a tear into the shower curtain which made me happy that all my hard work didn't go wasted. Even a Japanese Beetle approved of it so I couldn't have been happier. I also realized I had a waterproof handmade fish motifs bag sewn a long time ago which I used after ages. It always makes me happy when I use things I make myself - the joy in doing so is unparalleled.

A bottle to match the blanket...

A busy man ...

The japanese bettle that put a stamp of approval...
